In a surprising partnership that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the formal release, "A strange encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden group.
The questline centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana alongside multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
